NOTIFICATION FROM ECMWF re seasonal sea surface temperature anomaly forecasts on the GTS

Effective December 2004, ECMWF will add the global SST anomaly forecasts from its seasonal prediction system for distribution on the GTS.  The anomalies are computed with respect to the model climate for the years 1987 to 2001.

Products will be encoded in GRIB-2 at 2.5 degree lat/lon resolution.  They will be inserted on the GTS on the 15th of each month after 12 UTC.  Products are monthly averaged SST anomaly fields for each of the 40 members of the seasonal ensemble system, plus the ensemble mean.
